The operating principle of the pipeline leak detection system «Wave Control» is based on registering the pressure difference. In order to even more decrease the tolerance while calculating the coordinates of the depressurization, additional algorithms have been developed that enable us to «figure out» a leak or a tie-in within the accuracy of 50 meters.

The automated pipeline leak detection system Wave Control ensures:
Detection of pipeline product leaks in real time, pipeline integrity control in case of both underground and above-ground pipelining, as well as in water medium.
Maximal speed of leak detection (leak detection proceeds from 30 to 60 seconds).
Maximal accuracy of leak detection – the tolerance is from 30 to 50 meters.
Minimal size of leak detection. The system defines a leak with the diameter of 3-5 mm.
Leak quantity assessment from 1% of the immediate product waste.
Extremely low number of false operations – not more than one per year. Transition processes and the environmental impact on the pipeline do not influence the system accuracy.
Easy installation and operation. Minimal quantity of system equipment. In case of main pipelines, pressure sensors are installed near process units every 25-50 km.
No need to install a dedicated communication cable along the pipe.
Entirely automated system operation that does not require decision-making on the part of the operator.
High system reliability – signal processing and decision-making proceed on a micro-program level. Software operates on the basis of manufacturing execution controllers without using operation utility systems.
